Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program

Youth Homes' Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) offers specialized care for youth ages 12-17 who have experienced trauma and need a stable, supportive environment to address challenging behaviors and rebuild family connections.

As the longest operating STRTP in Contra Costa County, Youth Homes operates one six-bed state-licensed residence in a neighborhood setting, providing a safe, structured environment with therapeutic support. Youth temporarily live in our nurturing residential facility while they attend school, develop life skills, and participate in individual and family therapy. Guided by a trauma-informed care model, they prepare to transition back to living with their family or move on to an alternative permanent placement.
